Grading - March 2020

33 of SR Judo Club's players attended gradings last weekend at the club and in Leicester with everyone who competed in the event being promoted to a higher grade - one of the club's largest grading attendances in their 38 year history.

In the primary category, George Wright, Blake Jeffery, Stanley Wright, Darcey Chamberlain, Joseph Duro, Harry Waterfield, Phoebe Waterfield and Ffion Maisch-Vaughan all gained two red tabs in their first ever gradings and Millie Shaw, Theo Painter and Owen Newbold were promoted to three red tabs. Elsewhere in the primaries, Dylan Mayo and Oliver Smith-Ross gained three yellow tabs, Elsie Freakley and Kyle Morton both took one orange tab whilst Noah Chamberlain and Lyla Painter were promoted to two orange tabs. Ricco-Crowie McGrath and Riley Russell both gained two green tabs.

In the Junior category, Alfie Freakley got 3 yellow tabs, whilst Curtis Thompson and Almirah Edwards were promoted to yellow belt with one orange tab and Jack Cross, Sam Duro and Gabe Spence got two orange tabs on their yellow. William Neville toom his orange belt, Ruby Gimson and Poppy Murphy both graded up to orange, two green tabs. Xander Jones took his green belt with two blue tabs


Three of the club's senior players also graded as Lucy Girvan and Grace Wiltshire both gained yellow belts and Mark Shaw was promoted to brown belt.
